Julie worked in a number of administration positions including a computer software development business which she was a director of and assisted in providing the computer training; a chiropractic clinic where she was the clinic administrator; a telecommunications company working as a team leader in a call centre and a variety of temporary office positions establishing office practices and principles for new businesses.
In 2002, Julie entered St Francis Theological College to study full time for ordained ministry, where she obtained a Bachelor of Theology Degree in 2004 and was ordained Deacon on the Feast of St Andrew.
